It’s Frida!

I stumbled upon Kurbatov’s illustrations while browsing photos on Tumblr. Most of his work online is taken from his profile on Behance Network, a creative professional network. His talent for image composition and color is phenomenal. I’m puzzled by how he creates these images throw a watercolor format. His choice of color is key in conveying the mood of the overal graphic.

This last illustration is probably my all time fave. It looks like the cover of a mystery novel (and maybe it is). I wish I could read Russian just so I can see his complete works and read his biography.
